Children are discouraged unless you are confident that they can keep seated while we work with the Covid compliancy rulings.
We firmly believe that a traditional pub, by its very nature, is an adult environment - if your planned visit includes children, please read our child policy.
Welcome to The Angel
The Angel Inn is a privately owned, traditional 17th century free house pub set in the East Northamptonshire village of Yarwell - just one mile from the A1 and A47 junction.
We offer a dog-friendly, relaxed and casual atmosphere which full of character and characters! This is how good pubs used to be - a real pub for real people without a trace of pretentiousness, we're resisting being chalk-painted in battleship grey and being drizzled in a Balsamic Glaze!
There's a lovely warm open fire (seasonal!), real ales, an extensive list of real ciders, dartboard, pool table as well as a huge beer garden. Dogs are welcome to join you either inside or out.
We do have a bar menu, but we are not a restaurant-style pub, we're more Beer & Banter before Menus & Meals.
Ordinarily, we would have entertainment on selected Saturday nights, but that's on hold during the Covid-age, but we are still holding a music quiz on the last Friday of the month and a General Knowledge Quiz on a Sunday at 8pm.
We very much look forward to welcoming humble people to our traditional, olde-worlde abode. So come and be part of what makes this pub what it is - nice people.
We're just doing our bit to keep the true British Pub alive and well, if that suits you , we very much look forward to meeting you.
Nick and Di, Owners
Unpretentious pub food.
Please note that we do not reserve tables and are too small to seat/serve groups any larger than six people.
Limited at present - but see what we have on...
